The World Time Attack Challenge that was hosted last week at the Eastern Creek International Raceway was the best motorsport event that I have ever attended (and will be the best until next year’s challenge). Everything from the international teams, local cars, pit professionalism, atmosphere, sound, parts, everything.. just everything about it made me excited & all buzzy until now!
Tarzan Yamada in the CyberEvo Lancer was the fastest with a blistering lap time of 1:30.5870! Second was David Empringham in the Sierra Sierra Evolution Lancer 1.2970 seconds behind with a time of 1:31.8840. Third was Tarzan Yamada again in the Tomei/Cusco WRX with a time of 1:31.9010.. giving himself a very cool double podium!
There were cars from all over Australia, New Zealand, USA & Japan! Cars that you see online in photos & video clips were actually here in Sydney! It was an experience in itself standing in the pits taking photos of these cars and teams in action.
